Queen Anne

The Queen Anne style of furniture, occasionally also referred to as "late Baroque", was developed around the time of Queen Anne's reign over Great Britain (1702 - 1714). It is perhaps best known for its cabriole leg and pad feet, as well as the C-scroll and S-scroll, patterned design. Cherry, maple, poplar and walnut wood were primarily used to make Queen Anne furniture which included wing-back chairs, cushioned seats and writing desks amongst other furnishings.
